Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji is the Founding President of the Yangzhu Taoist Association of America, Co-Founder of the American Federation of Taoism, a Taoist Faith Leader in New York State, and a 26th-generation disciple of the Zhengyi Jingming Taoist tradition. He has long been dedicated to the transmission of Taoist religious traditions, the promotion of Taoist culture, and the development of Taoism in the United States and the international community.

Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji has devoted many years to the study and practice of Taoist scriptures, teachings, rituals, and cultivation traditions while actively advancing the transmission and development of Taoism in the United States. He founded the Yangzhu Taoist Association of America with the mission of preserving Taoist religious traditions, serving Taoist practitioners and the broader community, promoting Taoist culture, and fostering interfaith and intercultural exchange. Based in New York, the Association provides a long-term and sustainable platform for the development of Taoism in the United States through religious activities, cultural education, community service, and public engagement.

As a Taoist Faith Leader in New York State, Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji actively participates in religious and community affairs involving New York State government agencies, religious organizations, interfaith institutions, and community organizations. He represents Taoism in interfaith dialogue and public engagement, working to deepen American society’s understanding of Taoist beliefs and cultural traditions.

In the field of international affairs, Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji is the first Taoist priest to participate on a long-term and continuous basis in various United Nations meetings and related affairs. He regularly participates in meetings, events, and religious NGO affairs within the United Nations and related international platforms. Through these international forums, he engages with representatives from different countries, religious traditions, and international organizations, actively promoting Taoist participation in international affairs and interfaith dialogue while introducing Taoist religious traditions, cultural values, and contemporary development to the international community.

Over the years, Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji has continued to build connections and cooperation between Taoism and government agencies, international organizations, religious communities, interfaith institutions, and broader society, expanding the presence and participation of Taoism in American society and international public forums.

Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji believes that Taoism is not only an important part of traditional Chinese culture, but also an indigenous Chinese religion with a complete system of beliefs, religious traditions, and practices. His long-term mission is to help Taoism take deeper root in American society while respecting and preserving its traditions and lineage, enabling more people to genuinely understand Taoism and advancing its transmission, exchange, and development in the United States and throughout the international community.

Jacob M. Bressman, Taoist name Hu Yuanming, is an ordained Taoist priest of the Zhengyi Jingming tradition. A disciple of Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji, he is a 27th-generation disciple of the Jingming lineage. He currently serves as Vice President of the Yangzhu Taoist Association of America and is the first American Jingming Taoist priest.

He graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, where he studied Asian Studies and Chinese Language and Literature. He has a strong background in the Chinese language and Chinese culture and is fluent in Mandarin. He also studied at Peking University and lived and worked in China for many years, gaining extensive experience with Chinese traditional and religious culture.

Jacob began studying and practicing Taoism at an early age and has now been engaged with the tradition for 23 years. In 2012, he formally entered the Zhengyi Taoist tradition in Shanghai, China, and continued his study of Taoist scriptures, teachings, and cultivation practices. In 2025, under the guidance of Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji, he received formal Taoist ordination and became a Taoist priest of the Jingming tradition.

Over the years, Jacob has made numerous pilgrimages and visits to major Taoist temples and sacred sites throughout China, including the White Cloud Temple in Beijing and Mount Qingcheng in Sichuan. In addition to his studies and practice within the Zhengyi and Jingming traditions, he has also studied the teachings and cultivation practices of the Quanzhen Longmen tradition, giving him broad exposure to different Taoist traditions.

His primary areas of study and practice include Taoist healing traditions, talismans, and Taoist rituals. He continues to participate actively in Taoist religious practice and cultural exchange. As the first American Jingming Taoist priest, he is committed to promoting greater understanding of Taoist beliefs, the Jingming tradition, and Chinese Taoist culture throughout the English-speaking world.

Connor Mankit Darigo, Taoist name Huang Yuanjie, is a 27th-generation disciple of the Jingming Taoist tradition under the guidance of Dpr. Zhouxinyu Ji.

He has practiced and studied Taoism for eight years and has a strong interest in Taoist scriptures, teachings, ritual traditions, and cultivation practices. He is also deeply interested in the communication and education of Taoist culture in the English-speaking world.

Connor is dedicated to the English translation and study of Taoist scriptures and related texts. Through accurate and accessible translations, he hopes to help more English-speaking audiences understand Taoist beliefs, philosophy, traditions, and religious culture, contributing to the broader communication and understanding of Taoism in the English-speaking world.

Liu Yuwei, 33rd generation disciple of the Zhengyi Tianshi lineage, began learning various Taoist rituals at age 12, systematically studying traditional Zhengyi practices including talismanic arts, liturgies, and ceremonial offerings.

In 2014, he came to the United States to promote Taoist culture. He now resides in Pennsylvania and is dedicated to spreading Chinese Taoist philosophy and ritual culture to overseas Chinese and the international community.

Upholding the Zhengyi Taoist principles of purity and serving the world, Liu Yuwei's mission is to promote Taoist wisdom and serve the welfare of believers, advancing the continuation and development of traditional Taoist culture in contemporary society.

Director of the United Association of Chinese Taoist Masters, Executive Director of the Chinese Taoist Association National Federation (Taiwan), Executive Director of the Chinese Taoist Registers and Cultural Education Association, Executive Director of the International Huashan Inner Alchemy Research Association, and Grandmaster of the Chinese Taoist Zhu You School.
